As a younger child, Christopher was scared of the water.
“For three weeks he was chased around the pool, the instructor was trying to get him into the water. I was thinking this is ridiculous! And to the teacher’s credit, she persevered with him, got him into the water and now he loves to swim.”
Rainbow Club has given Christopher the confidence to be a good swimmer, confidence to be open in conversations relating to his peers and family. He will try new things, it really has given him some great life skills.
“I have really seen a difference in him with trust, as many kids with disabilities don’t trust the world. We have great patient instructors who understand the kids’ disability but focus on their ability when teaching them.”
Rainbow Club is important for kids as well as parents, it puts parents at ease.
I can relax when he is in his class, knowing that the instructors are giving him the best attention and all the assistance he needs to better himself in his swimming.
