Rainbow Club founder Ron Siddons dies (82)

It is with a lot of sadness that we advise that Ron Siddons, co-founder of Rainbow Club, passed away over the weekend.  Ron was ill for some time which was particularly difficult for someone who was so active over most of his life.

Ron was an inspiration to many, both for his work in founding Rainbow Club and for his fundraising for the organisation.  He was supported and encouraged throughout this work over almost 50 years by his wife, Lily, and we extend our  sympathies to her and his family .

The organisation Ron and Lily established in 1969 at Cronulla now has over 600 children  receiving swimming lessons each weekend in 20 clubs across NSW.

Ron  will be missed by all his friends at Rainbow Club.
